Are you looking for ways to foster your employees’ productivity? Try working out… at work. According to several studies, physical activity in the workplace boosts motivation, performance and creativity. Regular practice of sports reduces stress and risks of developing mental-health problems. Despite all of these benefits, most employees don’t meet the daily 30-minute of recommended physical activity.

The main barrier is a lack of time. Most of us spend approximately 40 hours a week at work, sitting in front a computer screen.

At Altrum, we agreed that we needed to find an original way to stay in shape in spite of the cold February weather. So our colleague Dominique had the idea to start a Death By Push-Ups’ challenge!

Three times a week around 3 o’clock, we gather in the lounge, start the timer, and do as many push-ups as possible in 30-second time lapses. We varied our workouts with the Death By Squats, Death By Sit-Ups, etc.

If you want to start working out in the workplace, think of a fitness program that does not require a lot of time or space. Share with us how it impacts your team’s motivation and spirit!
