What is an EORI number?

In the world of deal toys, you want things delivered fast. And while we do everything we can on our side to ensure that your pieces get to you as quickly and safely as possible with little to no issues in transit, sometimes things happen.

With that being said, you must have all the necessary information when you begin gathering addresses for your project. If you are strictly shipping your full order units within the United States, you won’t need to worry about this. But, if you are shipping outside of the US, keep reading! You may need to collect this information for your next project.

So, if you’re shipping to these select countries you will need something called an EORI number, which stands for Economic Operators Registration and Identification Number. The EORI number is a significant piece of information needed for customs procedures. If you don’t provide this number, customs delays will have your package sitting in a warehouse without any estimated delivery date. This special number is required when shipping to all countries in the European Union and the UK, both for businesses and people who are looking to transport items across borders.

You need this number when you’re planning to do any of the following…

• Businesses outside of the EU importing items into the EU
• Businesses inside of the EU exporting outside of the EU
• UK businesses importing items into the EU
• Businesses outside of the UK importing items into the UK

An EORI number consists of two different parts, the country code of the issuing Member State, immediately followed by a code or number that is original in the Member State.

But where do you get this information? You’ll have to ask your clients! These numbers are unique to each company, so you will need to ask for that information before we ship the pieces to avoid issues down the line with customs.
