How to Source High-Resolution Images for Your Deal Toys Using Google
When it comes to creating a deal toy or financial tombstone, every detail matters. From the material to the engraving to the finish, each element comes together to make something worth displaying. But one small detail can make or break the final result: the quality of your logos and images.
This is why high-resolution images are so important!
In our latest video, “What Why & How: High-Resolution Logos & Images” we break down what high-resolution images are, why they’re important, and how to find them quickly. Here’s the written guide!
What Is a High-Resolution Image?
A high-resolution image is one that contains a large number of pixels (dots of color), giving it more clarity and detail. The more pixels per inch, the sharper the image.
-
High-resolution images = clear, crisp, detailed
-
Low-resolution images = blurry, pixelated, lacking detail
If a logo or image looks pixelated on your screen, that’s exactly how it will appear when printed or etched onto your deal toy, and we don’t want that!
Why Do High-Quality Images Matter for Deal Toys?
At Altrum, we take pride in producing high-quality deal toys that are true keepsakes. If we were to use low-quality logos, the finished product would reflect that, no matter how beautiful the design itself is.
Clear, sharp logos and imagery ensure your final piece looks polished and professional, worthy of celebrating a major milestone. It’s a small detail that makes a big impact!
How to Find High-Resolution Images Using Google
Luckily, sourcing high-quality images is easy with a quick Google search. Here’s how to do it step by step (we used the Starbucks logo as an example):
-
Go to Google.com and search for the logo or image you need.
-
-
Under the search bar, click Tools.
-
In the dropdown, select Size → Large.
-
Now, only high-resolution images will appear!
-
You should notice the difference immediately, the logos will look sharper, cleaner, and more professional.
Bonus Tip: Find Transparent Logos!
For even more flexibility, you can filter for images with no background:
-
Under the same Tools menu, select Color → Transparent.
-
Images will appear with a gray-and-white checkerboard background (that’s just a placeholder).
-
When downloaded, the logo will have no background, making it easier to layer onto designs or documents.
